Herb-Basted New York Strip Steak

Ingredients

2 New York Strip steaks (1½-inch thick)

1½ teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature, divided

2 cloves garlic, smashed, divided

1 sprig fresh rosemary, cut in half

2 sprigs fresh thyme, divided

Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Directions

STEP 1

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to cooking.

STEP 2

Pat steaks dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.

STEP 3

Remove the crisper plate from the Cosori Smart Air Fryer basket.

STEP 4

Place the steaks directly into the basket.

STEP 5

Select the Steak function, adjust time to 6 minutes, then press Start/Pause.

STEP 6

Flip the steaks when done.

STEP 7

Add 2 tablespoons butter, one clove of garlic, half a sprig of rosemary, and one sprig of thyme on top of each steak.

STEP 8

Select the Steak function, adjust time to 6 minutes, then press Start/Pause.

STEP 9

Remove the steaks when done, transfer to a plate, and pour the melted butter and herbs on top.

STEP 10

Rest the steaks for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.

STEP 11

Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and serve.
